MSK Honored by The Legal Aid Society for Pro Bono Services
MSK is proud to be honored as one of the recipients of The Legal Aid Society’s 2019 Pro Bono Publico Awards for our outstanding and sustained achievements in pro bono services! Congratulations to our attorneys Paul Montclare and Elaine Nguyen for their work with The Legal Aid Society’s Criminal Appeals Bureau, as well as Timothy Carter and Joel Schoenfeld for their work with The Legal Aid Society’s Community Development Project.
The Legal Aid Society in New York City is the United States' oldest and largest provider of legal aid to the indigent, those in poverty in the United States. It provides services for both criminal cases, analogous to public defenders, and civil cases. Each year, The Legal Aid Society works with over 100 law firms across New York City. The firms recognized were nominated by Legal Aid staff in every borough for their exceptional commitment to ensure that no New Yorker is denied the right to equal justice. We are extremely proud to be among this year’s list of honorees!
