Associate
MSK’s Corporate Department is seeking an Associate in its New York or Los Angeles office with 6-8 years of corporate and securities law experience. Candidates should have substantial experience in connection with 1933 and 1934 Act compliance, including the annual proxy statement, registration statements, Form 8-Ks and annual and quarterly reports, Section 16 filings, quarterly earnings releases, analyst call scripts and Regulation FD issues. Candidates should also have experience with registered offerings of debt securities and securities offerings pursuant to exemptions from registration. Candidates must have strong drafting skills, a desire for client contact, an aptitude for managing securities offerings and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced securities practice. Ideal candidates will also have experience in managing M&A transactions substantially on their own from start to finish, including drafting and negotiating term sheets, definitive acquisition agreements and typical ancillary agreements in M&A transactions.

We are seeking a mid to senior-level Labor and Employment Associate with 4-6 years of employment and traditional labor experience for the Los Angeles office. Our Labor and Employment Department consists of over 20 full time Labor and Employment attorneys. The successful candidate must have excellent analytical and writing skills, substantial experience handling employment litigation, including single-plaintiff and class action cases, and experience advising clients on day-to-day employment issues. Digital Media/Marketing Assistant (or Coordinator)
We are looking for an experienced Digital Media/Marketing Assistant (or Coordinator) to assist in the planning, execution and optimization of our digital marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things marketing and technology. You will be well-versed in the concepts surrounding digital marketing and how the Internet can become a growth driver for business. You will be tech-savvy and intuitive with great ideas to reinforce our marketing campaign. Required: Creative mind who can translate the goals and vision of a project to final work product. Video editing skills are a must in combining footage from different angles and adding on-screen graphics and music. Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Final Cut Adobe Premiere, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.). Understanding of digital file transfer using different protocols i.e. FTP, etc. Basic operation and troubleshooting for PCs and Macs. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Strong sense of organization, ability to meet deadlines, detail-oriented. Previous experience in a comparable position, which may include other freelance projects, is a must.
Job responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Chief Marketing Officer, Marketing Manager and Marketing team with project organization.
- Performing administrative tasks to help the team accomplish and execute against goals.
- Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers through popular social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, with a familiarity with LinkedIn algorithms to aid in optimizing campaigns.
- Composing and posting online content for the company's social media page and website.
- Develop and implement online marketing policies and projects via video and other media.
- Improve search engine optimization and general discovery of content by target groups.
- Analyze and report on web traffic, analytics, and engagement.
- Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice and terminology.
- Prepare customized collateral materials, including client proposals and firm brochures, for new business pitches and presentations.
- Maintain the firm’s marketing databases, utilizing them to produce targeted mailing lists.
- Layout, produce and distribute firm alerts, announcements, invitations and advertisements.
- Coordinate client programs, including managing registration; arranging facilities, catering and tech support; preparing PowerPoint presentations and handout materials; providing guest reception; and facilitating attorney follow-up.
- Assist in updating the firm website and various marketing materials, in Word and on the firm’s website.
- Collect and archive representative matters, industry experience, speaking engagements and client lists.
- Assist with directory updates and attorney ranking submissions.
- Plan, implement and execute all aspects of marketing and business development events.
- Use event management software to distribute invitations and track RSVPs.
- Liase with attorneys, vendors, professional staff throughout the firm to assist in business development efforts.
- All other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
- 1-2 years of marketing assistant experience required, law firm-setting preferred
- 1-2 years of video (other media) editing experience required (don’t bother applying without this)
- Proficient in MS Office and marketing software.
- Knowledge of CRM tools and Google Analytics very helpful
- Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Superior writing, proofreading and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good understanding of office management.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently on projects.
Status: Full-time staff, non-exempt
