Jeremy Mittman and Eric Engelman authored the article, "AB 1880 and SB 764: Ready, Set, Vlog!," published in the Daily Journal on December 31, 2024.

The article discusses two California laws, AB 1880 and SB 764, which go into effect on Jan. 1, 2025 and together, greatly expand the protections that apply to child vloggers in California.

From the article...

"Meanwhile, SB 764 protects child vloggers by requiring adult vloggers whose content features a minor to compensate the minor. The adult vloggers also need to maintain records such as the number of vlogs that generated compensation, the total compensation generated from vlogs featuring the minor, and the amount of compensation deposited for the minor."
