MSK Class Action Litigators Examine California's Proposed Assembly Bill 271

Jeffrey Richardson, Seth Pierce and Christopher Elliott co-authored the article "Less Than Zero: Why California Class-Action Bill Does Not Live Up to its Hype and is Actually Bad for Defendants" in the March 2011 issue of Westlaw Journal.  According to the authors, "While the bill would change California law to more closely match federal law, it would not grant defendants equal rights...if the objective is increased fairness, AB 271 does not go far enough."
