Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp Names New Partners

Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP (MSK) today announced the election of three new partners effective January 1, 2026, all based in the firm’s Los Angeles office.

“We are proud to welcome these talented attorneys to the partnership,” said Yakub Hazzard, Chair of MSK. “They represent diverse practice areas, and each has shown exceptional commitment to their clients and to the firm. We look forward to their continued leadership and contributions in the years ahead.”

Dima Budron, promoted from associate, is a key member of MSK’s Entertainment Transactions practice. She advises a broad spectrum of entertainment industry clients, including recording artists, songwriters, music producers, record labels, trade associations, production companies, writers, directors, models and other content creators. Budron pairs strategic business insight with extensive experience drafting, negotiating, and structuring agreements that support every stage of her clients’ creative and commercial endeavors. She earned her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and holds both an M.A. and a B.A. from DePaul University.

Lia (Natalia) Momtsios, promoted from associate, is a member of MSK’s Tax and Trusts & Estates practice. Throughout her career, Momtsios has focused exclusively on trusts and estates matters, guiding clients through estate planning and trust and estate administration with care and precision. She partners closely with trustees, beneficiaries, accountants, financial institutions, and other advisors to resolve complex matters efficiently. Momtsios was recently recognized in The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch (2026) for her work in Tax Law and Trusts & Estates. She is also active in the legal community, serving as the Legal Updates Co-Chair of the Beverly Hills Bar Association’s Trusts & Estates Executive Committee. Momtsios earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law, and a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Valentine A. Shalamitski, promoted from of counsel, is in MSK’s Commercial Litigation practice. He has significant experience handling complex and general civil litigation, including business disputes and class actions. Shalamitski’s representative matters include trial and appellate work in state and federal courts, the successful defense of consumer and wage-and-hour class actions, and involvement in high-profile copyright litigation. He earned his J.D. from Southwestern Law School and his B.A. from Minsk State Linguistic University.
