New Federal Regulations for Overtime Exemptions

After a year-long review, the U.S. Department of Labor recently issued final regulations effective August 23, 2004 which will replace its current tests for the white-collar employee overtime exemptions. The previous version of these new regulations generated considerable press and controversy, which resulted in less dramatically changed final regulations.
