Jeffrey Davine is quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle’s article “Fiorina failed to register business, foundation,” regarding the failure of former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina to register her charitable foundation, Carly Fiorina Enterprises, with the IRS or California’s attorney general’s charitable trust division. Davine cautions: “[i]f you want to give your money away and claim a tax deduction, you want to set up a true private foundation.”
