Labor & Employment Practice Co-Chair Larry Drapkin was quoted in recent Wall Street Journal and InvestorPlace.com coverage of the unique non-compete agreement keeping former Johnson & Johnson senior executive Michael Mahoney from joining archrival Boston Scientific Corp. as chief executive. According to Mr. Drapkin, the agreement, which allowed Mr. Mahoney to join Boston Scientific only after the company promised he wouldn't supervise competing businesses or become its chief executive until late 2012, "is more than a tad unusual... Everybody wants to choose a CEO and have him up and running [immediately] rather than sit on the sideline."
