Christine Lepera Named to Billboard's 2024 Power 100 List

January 27, 2024

Christine Lepera was named to Billboard's 2024 Power 100 list on February 1, 2024. Billboard's annual list includes the music industry's top players, pinpointing the executives at 100 companies and organizations that exercised the most influence over the past 18 months. The team that compiled this list relied on data anywhere and everywhere it was available, with an emphasis on current market share, revenue, Billboard Boxscore tour grosses and year-end charts and rankings.

From the article...

"Lepera is the first lawyer that major artists call when they’re accused of copyright infringement. She has successfully handled such cases for Katy Perry, Drake, Jay-Z and Post Malone in the past few years, and she’s currently repping Dua Lipa in a high-profile infringement lawsuit over “Levitating,” the singer’s chart-topping 2020 breakout hit. “The music industry sees too many baseless claims,” Lepera says. But her most newsworthy case in 2023 was the headline-grabbing split between Hall & Oates, in which she represented Daryl Hall and won a restraining order blocking John Oates from selling his half of the duo’s company to Primary Wave."
