Lucia Coyoca Joins MSK

LOS ANGELES, CA – Managing Partner Thomas Lambert is pleased to announce that Lucia Coyoca has joined Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP as a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department and as Chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee.

Coyoca first joined Mitchell Silberberg in 1988 and made partner in 1994. Coyoca left Mitchell Silberberg in 2000 for Alschuler Grossman where she served as co-head of the Entertainment Litigation Department and as an elected member of the firm’s Executive & Compensation Committees. Today Coyoca returns to Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP as a partner in its Litigation Department and chair of its Diversity Committee. Coyoca will also be active in Mitchell Silberberg’s Intellectual Property & Technology and Entertainment Practice Groups.

LOS ANGELES - Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP recently announced that Robert H. Rotstein, a well-known intellectual property lawyer, has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as Partner in the Litigation Group. Rotstein’s practice focuses on complex business issues related to intellectual property and technology, copyright and entertainment. He also has distinguished himself as a business litigator with extensive trial experience. Prior to joining Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp, Rotstein was a Partner at McDermott Will & Emery.

Rotstein earned a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles where he was Order of the Coif and a staff member and articles editor for the UCLA Law Review. Prior to law school, he earned his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles where he graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa. Rotstein served as a law clerk for the Honorable Anthony M. Kennedy, Circuit Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is a former member of the Executive Committee of the Intellectual Property Section of the State Bar of California, and a past president of the Los Angeles Copyright Society. He has also taught copyright law at Loyola Law School.
