Christine Lepera will be speaking on a panel titled “The Use and Misuse of Experts in Copyright Cases” at the 27th Annual North American Law Summit.

This panel will discuss the use and misuse of expert witnesses in copyright-infringement litigation. The panel will discuss (1) the selection of appropriate subject-matter experts including musicologists, business managers and accountants, (2) the preparation of Rule 26 disclosures and reports, (3) whether to take the depositions of expert witnesses and (4) how to prepare for their direct and cross examinations in deposition or at trial.
