MSK Vice Chairman, Nimish Patel, will be speaking at IE Venture Day Los Angeles on “Startup Funding: IPOs, Angel and Venture Capital Financing.” This event, jointly organized by the UCLA Anderson School of Management and IE Business School, will take place on September 11, 2015 at UCLA and will feature an entrepreneurial “pitch-off” competition by the local and international start-up community.

Los Angeles is #3 in the world for startups, #4 for funding, and best known as entertainment capital of the world. With an ever-increasing investor appetite in the blending worlds of mobile, content, gaming, new media, and entertainment, LA is poised to be #1 in all categories. With its storied history in the entertainment industry serving as the foundation, MSK is the compass for navigating this exciting journey. As a lawyer, businessman, and active investor, Nimish is uniquely suited to coach companies interested in becoming players in this developing landscape.

Participating start-ups will apply to present their business elevator pitch in front of a jury comprised of a unique mix of industry experts, venture capitalists, business angels and investors.
