August 29, 2022

MSK Partner Mark Hiraide co-authored a comment letter to the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation regarding the regulation of crypto asset-related financial products and services under a new state law, the California Consumer Financial Protection Law (CCFPL).

From the letter

"California Should Work With, Not Against, Federal Preemption to Promote Local Innovation . . . Broadening the financial access of low-income households and small businesses will support a more inclusive recovery and mitigate the disparate economic and social impact of the ongoing COVID-19 crises."
