MSK Partner Mark Hiraide's article, "California adopts equity crowdfunding exemption for seed capital," was published in The Daily Journal on November 2, 2021. The article discusses Assembly Bill 511, which was drafted by Hiraide and signed into law by Governor Newsom on October 7, 2021. The new law will significantly reduce the out-of-pocket cost of raising seed and growth equity capital of up to $300,000 through equity crowdfunding from California investors.
