Lauren J. Wachtler elected to the New York City Bar Association's Fashion Law Committee

Lauren Wachtler, a partner in the Firm’s New York office, has been invited by the New York City Bar Association to serve on the Fashion Law Committee for a term beginning September 2014 and ending August 2017 (Class of 2017). As part of her appointment, Lauren will have the opportunity to help shape law and public policy and generally help the public and the profession. Specifically, she will have the opportunity to be involved in drafting reports, commenting and testifying on legislation, submitting briefs, sponsoring continuing legal education and other programs and participating in public service projects.

Among the issues the Committee is expected to examine are customs disputes, human rights issues arising from overseas production, trademark and copyright issues and real estate concerns.
