On October 22, 2016, Jay Rosenthal will be a moderator for the panel "The Music Business: Inside and Outside the Beltway" as the 2016 Annual Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association Conference in San José del Cabo, Mexico.
This panel will address cutting edge issues impacting the music business both inside and outside the beltway, including the ASCAP/BMI Department of Justice controversy, legislative studies and proposal to amend the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), music streaming rate setting controversies under the Copyright Royalty Board, and direct licensing of music services.
