Melanie Figueroa Named Managing Partner of MSK's New York Office

January 2, 2016

MSK is pleased to announce that Melanie Figueroa has been elected Managing Partner of the Firm’s New York office. Melanie joined MSK during the Firm’s merger with boutique corporate law firm Richardson & Patel and quickly became an advocate for the enhancement of MSK’s culture.

"Melanie’s attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and commitment to the growth and diversification of our New York office make her uniquely qualified for this role,” says Nimish Patel, Vice Chairman of MSK. “I am extremely excited to work with Melanie on expanding the Firm’s New York presence.”

Melanie is accepting the role from Paul Montclare, who served as Managing Partner of the New York office since its inception in 2008. “We are very grateful to Paul Montclare for his past contribution as the Managing Partner and Governing Board Member. Our New York office was launched with just a handful of attorneys during the worst economic crisis our country had seen since the Great Depression. Today, the NY office finds itself positioned for growth and continued success because of Paul’s leadership,” says Patel.

Under Paul’s leadership as MSK’s newly appointed Strategic Partner for New York expansion, Melanie will help oversee the efforts of attorney recruitment and acquisition of synergistic practice groups.

“New York has tremendous legal talent and our Firm’s national platform will allow us to attract the best attorneys within this market. I am thrilled to take on this new role and grow our Firm and our brand,” says Melanie Figueroa.
