Eric German will be moderating the panel, "The Hunt for the Next Great Metal Band," at the 2016 South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Music Festival in Austin, Texas.
In an era where many of metal's seminal headliners are reaching middle age, this panel will discuss the search for the next heirs to the heavy metal throne. Drawing upon the expertise of industry insiders including a major artist, record label executive, manager, booking agent and attorney, the panel will explore what the industry is looking for in new talent, and what is, can and should be done to curate the development of that talent to breed the next generation of metal titans and festival headliners.
