Aaron D. Johnston is an associate in Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp's Entertainment Transactions practice group in the Los Angeles office. Aaron’s practice focuses on motion picture, television, video game, and music transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Aaron sought to gain legal experience through internships and clinical work during law school. Aaron assisted Special Counsel at Frontline in reviewing and clearing Frontline documentaries for broadcast on PBS. He served as an intern for boutique law firm Donaldson & Callif in the firm’s representation of independent film and television producers. Aaron also represented independent filmmakers and musicians through UCLA Law’s Documentary Film Legal Clinic and Music Industry Clinic. In addition, during his time at UCLA, Aaron worked as copyright research assistant to Professor Neil Netanel. Aaron graduated from UCLA Law with the Specialization in Media, Entertainment, and Technology Law and Policy.
