Lepera, Djordevich and German Contribute to IAEL's "Building Your Artist's Brand as a Business"
January/February 2012
The International Association of Entertainment Lawyers just released "Building Your Artist's Brand as a Business," edited by Dina LaPolt, to help expand the artist's career beyond traditional revenue streams. Christine Lepera and Christina Djordevich co-authored the chapter entitled "Breach of the Duty of Care or Loyalty to the Artist," a critical distinction on which much litigation has turned. Eric German and barrister Mark Vinall co-authored the chapter entitled "Venue and Jurisdictional Issues in International Disputes," which discusses the importance of crafting a forum selection clause into artist agreements.
