Ms. Lazarus' practice focuses on labor and employment law. She has represented employers in a range of matters involving California and federal law, including discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination lawsuits, complex wage and hour class actions, and employment-related tort and contract claims. She has experience litigating single plaintiff and class action cases and has represented employers before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, such as the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and at mediations and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Ms. Lazarus’ practice includes representing management in disputes with organized labor, including handling labor arbitrations and unfair labor practice charges, and assisting with collective bargaining negotiations. She regularly advises clients on employment issues, including counseling and discipline, employee handbooks and policies, reductions in force, and wage and hour compliance. Ms. Lazarus also maintains an active pro bono practice.
