Fuji Whittenburg

Associate - los angeles

As the eldest daughter of first-generation immigrants, Fuji Whittenburg grew up in the suburbs of Washington, DC with an acute awareness of the world and the many people and cultures within it, all of which has shaped Fuji’s life and career as a lawyer.

When asked what initially drew her to the law, she will almost always talk about her undergraduate studies as a history major at the University of Virginia where she was first introduced to law, government and politics.  Her two standout classes? The History of the Civil Rights Movement taught by famed civil rights activist and professor emeritus, Julian Bond; and Introduction to American Politics taught by political news commentator and analyst, Dr. Larry Sabato, whose slogan is “Politics is a Good Thing!”. Focused on themes of justice and social responsibility, these professors made their mark and sparked Fuji’s interest in the law -- almost instantly cementing her calling as a lawyer.

As a lawyer, Fuji is committed to an open and honest dialogue with her clients which she believes is key to not only successfully navigating the intricate channels of the U.S. immigration system but also to streamlining the experience for her clients.

Keeping the world view that she learned so early-on in childhood, and drawing upon her sense of social responsibility picked up during her university days, Fuji is also dedicated to improving the quality of U.S. immigration and nationality law and policy on a national level, where she is an active participant and regularly invited speaker.
